Past Life Regression Therapy: A Full Session Walkthrough

Past life regression therapy tends to sound more intimidating than it actually is. People imagine something dramatic, a hypnotist's watch swinging, a sudden collapse into a trance, a shocking vision. In reality, it's a gentle, guided process that most clients describe as surprisingly calm. Here's exactly what happens, step by step.

What Is Past Life Regression Therapy?

Past life regression is a guided therapeutic approach that offers you the chance to explore lifetimes beyond your current existence, uncovering memories, experiences, and lessons your soul carries through time. Whether or not you walk in as a full believer in past lives doesn't matter much, plenty of clients come simply curious, and the process still tends to surface something meaningful.

Step 1: Grounding & Intention Setting

Every session starts with a few minutes of simple grounding, slow breathing, settling into a comfortable seated or reclined position, and talking through what you're hoping to explore. This isn't required to be specific. "I want to understand why I feel this recurring fear" is plenty.

Step 2: Guided Induction

Next comes a slow, guided relaxation, similar to a calm meditation, that gently lowers you into a deeply relaxed but fully aware state. You are not asleep, unconscious, or "under" in any way that removes your control. You can hear my voice, respond, and open your eyes at any point you choose.

Step 3: The Regression Itself

From that relaxed state, I guide you through a series of prompts designed to surface impressions, images, feelings, or memories connected to a past life relevant to what you came in to explore. Some people see vivid scenes. Others receive impressions more like knowing than seeing. Both are completely valid, there's no "right" way to experience a regression.

Step 4: Coming Back & Integration Talk

Once we've explored what surfaced, I guide you back to full present-moment awareness slowly and gently. This is followed by an integration conversation where we talk through what came up and what it might mean for what you're currently working through. This part is just as important as the regression itself, it's where the insight actually becomes useful.

What Clients Commonly Experience

  • Emotional release: tears, relief, or a felt sense of "finally understanding" a pattern.
  • Physical sensations: warmth, tingling, or a lightness in the body.
  • Clarity on recurring patterns: connections between a past life theme and a current-life struggle, relationship, or fear.
  • A sense of calm that clients often describe as unexpectedly comfortable given how the session started.

Is Past Life Regression Right for You?

This work tends to resonate most with people who feel a recurring pattern, fear, or pull they can't quite explain through their current-life experiences alone. If that sounds like you, a regression session might offer the missing piece. It's meant to be explored with curiosity, not pressure, and there's genuinely no wrong way to arrive.

You don't need to believe in past lives to walk away from this work with something real. You just need to be willing to look.

Afterward, give yourself some time to sit with what surfaced. I always recommend a few grounding practices after any deep session like this one.
